For information about how to use Jabber, visit the Jabber User's Guide at http://jabbermanual.jabberstudio.org/Now, go to "Tools" menu in the small window listing contacts and select "Room List" menu item. A window "Room List" appears, press "Get List" button, a dialog opens asking "Enter a Conference Server". A new tab should appear in the conversation window, with tab name "wp3@conference.edos-project.org". You are connected. Welcome! You can then add the conversation room to your contact list: go to the conversation window, select tab "wp3@conference.edos-project.org", press button "Add" (at bottom of window); a dialog "Add Chat" should appear, with already filled-in text fields.
