- Debian Policy Manual describes the policy requirements for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution. This includes the structure and contents of the Debian archive and several design issues of the operating system, as well as technical requirements that each package must satisfy to be included in the distribution.

Debian Infrastructure
- Bug Tracking System is the publicly accessible data base of known bugs
- Autobuilders recompile automatically newly uploaded packages for different architectures. There is some documentation about the autobuilder network, and a data base about the state of compilation of the packages.
- Debian Snapshot provides historical snapshots of the debian archives, and gives access to older versions of packages superseded in the current distributions.
