| Indicator | Metadata consistency |
|---|---|
| ID | DIS-4 |
| Definition | This indicator checks that the index are present and are consistent in the network. In the case of the current mirroring architecture, it consists in checking that the index files are available on the mirrors, and that their signature matches the one of their homologous file on the reference server (hdlist and synthesis files in the case of Mandriva Linux). The indicator will be calculated on each mirror with a period in the order of 20 minutes. In the P2P system, the index (a.k.a the metadata) is stored across the trusted peers. The index must be consistent against the index available on the publisher peer. Any change on the publisher peer has to be reflected in an update on the distributed index. |
